It's a Love Affair--Short and Sweet

At age 55 I have a new love in my life, it is prepping. My husband of 36 years is in love with it too, so there is no jealousy on either side. We started a home group, we call ourselves "THE GLORY DAY PREPPERS." We all have the same goal in mind, and that is to "open minded" and "teachable" to be prepared for any disaster. Prepping with my husband will be a long term relationship, so in this case 3 is not a crowd, and the more in this relationship, the better it is...♥♥♥

In this case the more in the love affair the better the relationship gets.

It is great to start a group when it comes to prepping, the more people involved the more you can use each others talents.

This is a love affair with a flare, it is so worth starting the torch and putting a fire under people to start prepping.

A family that preps together stays together. This love affair sounds like it is here to stay.

It is all about starting somewhere when it comes to prepping, and once you get started from there it "will" lead into sharing and caring about others. So being able to start a home group is the first outreach in teaching others the 'ART OF PREPPING."

In this case the more in the love affair the better the relationship gets.

A family that preps together stays together.

Getting together with friends and sharing ideas is the best way to start prepping.

Working together prepping as husband & wife is a win-win situation.

Prepping together with a group you can buy in bulk and split the cost, it really is the best way to prep.

Love the idea starting a group to help people who are new with prepping.

Prepping is always a great idea!

I think what you are doing is great!

Purchasing in bulk and Sharing is such an awesome way to save.

One can never be too prepared!

Disasters are happing all around the world we need to be prepared.

connie is a great friend and church of are family i known her long but shes a good family person and love kids ...and the bond that she has with her husband i would give anything to have that i would want to find that sole mate ...I dont know what elce to say all i say is love connie and Brian D...

Good Idea to prepare together to save!

Preparedness is and has been something I have been taught by my parents and passed onto my children. Food storage, recycling and keeping supplies on hand for any emergency and when times get tight. I know Connie and Brian commit to the same not just for their family but to be able to share and assist others in need and who want to learn how to prepare as well. I applaud them for that and their genuine love and concern for others. God Bless.

I have learned a great deal from my sister, and I love that she is reaching out in this way as part of their ministry. She loves her garden and her grace in growing is reflected in her cooking. I wish her well in this new challenge.

i like this. It's short, sweet and sparks your interest. a great couple with a great idea!

i wish you the best! I know with God, your heart condition, and each other it is definitely a success!

physical preparedness and spiritual preparedness go hand in hand :)

I like it.

This is sweet.

Faith & works

When my faith is getting weak and I feel like giving in you breath into me again! Job 33:4
The Spirit of God has made me; the breath of the Almighty gives me life.

All five votes, right here.

I congratulate Connie on her endeavors. More people should take the effort to plan for the future as she and Brian are doing. Sharing their knowledge and home with others is applauded.

Inspiring!

The physical and the spiritual go hand in hand.

It is great that you have a common goal in your relationship and can share it with others.

As Christians we are always preparing our hearts, mind, body and soul for Christ's return.

God bless you on your journey!

Preparation is a wise move. Doing it together is even better.

Starting a group to help others be prepared? Fabulous!

This is a great way to bring the family together!

How about: The family that preps together LIVES together.

Preparing for the future its something that everyone should do!

Preparation makes the heart grow fonder.

Love your family through prepping?!?!?

inspiring

I just started learning about people who prep! I think its pretty interesting!

You can not go wrong storing up food for the future.

It really is about being opened minded and teachable when helping others start this journey of prepping.

If something major really does happen to our nation I am in agreement, we need to be prepared. So starting with longterm/shortterm food is a just the beginning.

Best of luck with the contest and your prepping group.

good luck

It's all about helping others and being teachable when it comes to storing up food.

Keep up the hard work, Connie!! You are amazing!! :) And your sidekick isn't too bad either...you make a GREAT team.

I'm so excited to learn about being a prepper

This way of life is amazing!

preparedness is a way of life

when prepared you can help others when needed

If anyone has a heart for this you and Brian do. Blessings

There is balance when one preps and it saves time and when two or more are gathered together in prepping things go quicker...

YOU GO GIRL.

Prepping has to start somewhere, glad you are teaching others how to do it.

A Montana gal that has the flair to share with others, I like that.

LOVE THE NAME "GLORY DAY PREPPERS."

Your group sounds inspiring,

It's awesome that you guys are being "prepared, in season and out of season" :)

What a great way to bless the community, by sharing this knowledge and passing it along.

I'm glad you two have found an exciting new element to add to your relationship ;)

"Be prepared, be prepared,
This lesson must be shared,
This lesson must be shared,
Be prepared!
Be prepared, be prepared,
And unless you got a spare,
You have one life, so handle it with care!"

I have run out of clever things to say. I VOTE FOR YOU! :)

Voting for you! Good luck!

Being prepared is the best antidote in any crisis or disaster as it saves lives!! Working together-the more the better.

The Lord calls us to be prepared as it is when we are not that we are most vulnerable..He loves it when we are more than one and working together.

I am preparing, as will hubbby when he comes home to have a meal..Both of us work but we help one another. We help one another in task around the house.

You and Brian will make and do make a good team and know that it is in your character to try and prepare and do a wonderful job when he comes to all the children that come into your home and you love and bless them and help them along the way...

Brian and Connie have had foster children in there home and have cared and loved them for many years!

I have known Brian and Connie for many years and their strength in the Lord has always been an inspiration to me!!

I have done Bible Study's with Brian and Connie and their insight to the word of God has been a blessing to our Bible study participants!

I remember the days when Brian and I used to pray together before we went to work! What a great way to start the. Our wives were very supportive of this time we spent together!

Brian and Connie have some rentals and I remember one time after the aluminum plant shut down they need to rent a house and they said they would not rent to just anyone, but wanted the right renter in that home. They prayed about this and I believe it ended up being a pastor who moved in. This all happened in Gods perfect timing!!

I support Connie because I have known her since childhood and know she is a person who cares and shares!

This project is very much in line with all I have seen Connie do on FB for the past 18 months or so...

Plus, I have known Connie's husband since early childhood (3 or 4 years old!) and I know him also to be a person of good character!

I know Connie is going to be prepared to help OTHERS when the chips are down, too!

I am proud to cast these votes for Connie!

Sounds wonderful to me.....

Hey sis. I am interested in coming to this class. Let me know when they are scheduled.

I use alot of spice in my foods and cannot wait to see how this is done. Good job, Con.

I cannot believe you are selling the piano to buy supplies. What a great idea since you don't really use it anyway. You will get so much more use out of the sealer. God bless and good luck in this contest.

Really like your preparedness dedication to helping others. Hope you win.

If I lived near you I'd join your group.

Glory Day Preperrs is in good hands with you and Brian as their leader.

You were born to lead... Go preppers!

Thank you for sharing of yourself so that others may benefit.

Sounds like a lot of fun and it sure will be a benefit to others.

Reminds me of my scout leader work. Loved it....Be Prepared!

Tent, water, rations, matches, rope, stove! Preparedness - we should all be prepared.

Physical Preparedness - we all should look at this one. To be fit and prepared for the task at hand. Don't venture out if you are not prepared.

Financial Preparedness - That's what we have been working on for years. In order to retire and enjoy life you need to be financial prepared for the future. We are getting closer each day!

Thanks for all you do. This country needs leaders like you. =)

In this time and age, we are better to be over prepared than under prepared and take the chance of having to except what the government says is best for us.

Way to go Connie. Glad you're trying to make a difference!

my daughter loves the show "wow wow wubzy "One of the characters named Daisy says" You should always be prepared!"

Wow, I think I could learn something from this!

Good luck in your contest!

I know Amber and I are working on our own version of preparedness, Were trying to get financially prepared!

i think its great you are doing this to help out others

We could all learn something from you guys!

It never hurts to be prepared, especially because you never know when an emergency will happen.
