I have only recently ago began to do A LOT of thinking regarding preparing for things. I read all of the blogs and the info and finally shared my thoughts and concerns with the hubs...and he is surprising on board.
We are constantly talking about the things we need and each week and we try to pick up a couple of the little items here and there. I have even just purchased a 10 tray dehydrator and mylar bags and am working on filling them one by one.
I also try to buy water every week. We wish we had started prepping a long time ago, but better late than never. Unfortunately times are tough and it can be hard to try to eat and have the essentials needed for this week let alone for later.
Bottom line.....I think self reliance is extremely important and I personally have always had to rely on myself.

Boy are we on the same page! I titled my entry Better Late Than Never too! Sure hope that is ok. lol
