This is a good word, I struggle with this also and it doesn't help when other Christians seem to resist any preparations. It does seem like other Christians are starting to feel that something is not right, maybe that's the whisper of God.
I think we have to keep in mind that Americans have only lived like this for 40-50 years, where typically we only have days worth of food on hand. Before then it was common to have more dry goods and stored can goods. Many people used to can the food from their gardens and eat that throughout the Winter.
The only time in the Bible where people were instructed not to save food is when God was leading the Israelites through the desert and was providing Manna and Quail.
Remember trust the Lord your God with all your Heart, Soul and Mind, all the preps in the world are not going to help you if you are not born again.
