You might not think that there's much to know regarding Tips and Tricks for Using Oil Lamps, but since I've practiced using all of my supplies that I intend to rely on someday, I've discovered that there are some idiosyncrasies when it comes to using and maintaining my oil lamps. I've got all sorts of brands and such of oil lamps and I've used all kinds of different oils for my lamps too. As such I believe that these little tips will be helpful across the board for all of our oil lamp users...

I’ve begun reaping the harvest of all kinds of greens from my garden and my sprouting supplies. But to me the greens are incomplete until I have the perfect dressing and other accompaniments to go with them. After discovering all of the canola oil or other hydrogenated oils and multiple forms of sugar that are making their way into the store-bought dressings, I long ago decided that I needed to just make my own. And boy am I glad I did! It never ceases to amaze me how much better something...

Continuing on in our Abundant Garden Series; this is the final segment in our highlight of the Mittleider Gardening Series.   Mittleider Organic Garden PreparednessPro.com       My 3rd criteria for a gardening method is that it MUST be preparedness oriented. Meaning, if I can do it today when everything is hunky dory, but I can’t do it tomorrow when there’s a financial collapse or a long-term power outage, then that just won’t work for me. I need something in which I can truly prepare for...

Everything you need to know for an Abundant Garden—Part 2 Mittleider Gardening Method means SIMPLICITY Today I’m continuing with describing how the Mittleider Gardening Method met all of my criteria for the PERFECT gardening method. If you recall in yesterday’s article my first criteria was that the method I settled on had to be SIMPLE. Simple: Let’s not kid ourselves. The U.S. is JUST as deficient in competent gardeners as is the rest of the world. Sadder still there are many who strive to...

Will your gardening skills today be enough for your survival tomorrow? Perhaps not, but that can be easily remedied! There’s no denying it, when it comes to our food supply in this nation, we are in deep trouble.  I won’t get into all of the reasons why I say that, as I believe it would be better in a different article, but I will say that I’m convinced enough of this   Gardening Skills PreparednessPro.com Greens Produce     problem that I believe I have to GROW as much of my food as I...

Question: Would Hitler impact your preparedness today and if so, what would you do to STOP him from doing so? Or do you believe that if Hitler were around today it would have no impact and no place in the magnitude or pace at which you work to prepare your family for tough times ahead? Knowing what you know now, would you have the courage or determination to stop Adolph Hitler if he were still in power today?  What if he were doing to your own country what he did to so many others? Would you...

When it comes to shot placement breathing is critical and is the ultimate determining factor on whether or not you make your shot. Don’t forget to EXHALE when you shoot!     Breathing Control for Superior Shot Placement preparedenesspro.com     Have you ever had such a hectic day, you’re nearly certain that you forgot to even breathe?  Thank goodness that it’s an automatic physical response in most cases. Otherwise I know a lot of busy, frenzied women in my life who’d be passed out in their...

It's not often that one finds a stand-up person to wholeheartedly admit mistakes with no intent to deflect the brunt of the wrongdoing, but this evening I received this note of apology from the author of the article which appeared in the Deseret News today, which article had cast doubt on the legitimacy of the "halting of canning" article that was so widespread amidst   Deseret News Issues Correction Apology PreparednessPro.com     the media and the gossip trees of the LDS Church. I want to...
